Report a label it read wrongly
This is the most useful message you can send, and it improves the app for everyone. Tell us what the pack said and what SafeFood said, and attach the photograph if you still have it — the app keeps recent scans, and the share button on a result copies the transcription and the verdict together.
Wrong readings become test cases. Nothing is sent automatically: the app has no analytics, so a report only exists if you choose to write one.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are managed in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling there stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com; we can point you in the right direction but cannot issue one ourselves.
Delete your data
Your scan history and its photographs live on your phone, so deleting the app deletes them. We hold only an anonymous installation identifier and a monthly scan count against it; email us with the identifier shown in the app’s Settings and we will delete that record. To stop the AI reading entirely, withdraw consent in Settings — no email needed.
A reminder about what a reading is
SafeFood reads the label, not the food. It cannot detect cross-contact, it quotes “may contain” warnings without grading them, and an AI can misread. Always check the pack yourself. If something looks wrong, trust the pack — and then tell us.
